Inter Group was founded in 2002 by Dato Dr Kang Chin Seng, a former USM lecturer, senior statesman and corporate advisor to Pensonic Holdings, and Michael Heah, a former bank manager, educationist and human resource consultant. Both combined their resources and knowledge to establish "Inter" registered trademark to become the manpower recruitment and management brand name in Malaysia.

 

Although their operations are mainly focus in the northern region of Malaysia with clients mostly from foreign multinationals such as Fairchild, Osram, Robert Bosch, Kontron, ASE, Toshiba, Knowles and many others, they have also developed a large networks of clientele in other parts of Malaysia, Middle East and Singapore through industries associations and chamber of commerce.

They have more than 500 staff and workers contributing to their growth annually and in different companies and locations. Their missions and values are based on quality services and strictly adhered to the Malaysian law and regulations. In 2006, they were awarded the Most Promising outsourcing accredited company in Malaysia by Philippine Embassy and in 2010, they were awarded the first G2P (Government to Private) recruitment program in Asia-Pacific region by the Indonesia government.

Throughout the years, their professional team practices fair labor management to the foreign workers where all their workers receive similar salary package as the factory own direct-hired workers and protected with secure and safe hostel facilities. In recent years, they are also being recognised by the external EICC auditors for their international labor law compliances and consistency approach in promoting anti-human trafficking practices and social responsibilities.

With their persistent effort to provide a "voice" to the government and industries on foreign workers issues, they have published many foreign workers handbook for employers, organised public seminars and trainings, and also published the popular Fomadas magazine, the first foreign manpower magazine in Malaysia recognised by the Malaysian government.
